Minis In House Games

A lovely morning for rugby at the club today saw us all play up an age.

The 7s played the 8s in the first game and the match was played in a great sprit with both team scoring some good tries, the big difference was the tagging with the 8s turning the ball over by getting six tags in a row.

The 8s then took on the 9s, the pitch is quite a lot bigger and it’s now tackling instead of tag, six tackles and the ball is turned over. Another good game with both team scoring tries and some really good tackles going in.

The 9s then played the 10s with the big difference being the ruck is now contested. Both teams played good rugby and scored nice tries with the 10s a bit quicker to the breakdown than the 9s they had a few turnovers.

The 10s then played the 11s the pitch is a lot bigger played between the 22s and 5 metres in from the touch lines, kick offs to start the game and contested scrums. It was a good game but the 11s had the better of it moving the ball to the space and scoring some nice tries.

The 11s then played the 12s, another good game this time on a full pitch. The 12s started well moving the ball from one side of the pitch to the other, the 11s came back strongly getting the ball through the hands.

Game of the day goes to the 7s v the 12s I was told it was an entertaining game of tag between our oldest and youngest teams.

Great morning thanks everyone.
